Doc Gibbs: A multi-talented entertainer
Singer, pianist, comedian, impressionist, songwriter and consultant–Doc’s popular one-man show, combo and full five-piece band have been favorites of audiences around the globe, including England, Russia, China, New Zealand, West Africa, the Caribbean and on cruise ships.
The Doc Gibbs band plays a variety of music for dances, wedding receptions, anniversaries, Bar Mitzvahs, conventions, dinner and luncheon shows, and holiday celebrations … all kinds of special occasions. Doc knows dance rhythms because he and his wife of thirty-eight years, Vera, were dance instructors and taught ballroom, country, Latin, line dance and other popular dances to more than 3,000 students.
Doc provides a specially-tailored program for seniors, youth, church groups and community organizations–always welcoming audience requests. Audiences enjoy his witty humor and ear-catching musical impressions, featuring the familiar voices of Tom Jones, Louis Armstrong, Michael Jackson, Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley, to name a few. He has provided show music or accompaniment for Percy Sledge, Janie Fricke, Charlie Pride, The Drifters and Joan Rivers. Doc’s recordings include four inspirational albums, three pop music and original albums, and, most recently, Let’s Dance, featuring music for ballroom, swing, Latin and social dancing.
Doc provides his own brand of motivational and musical presentations that entertain and inspire. Doc’s life goal–“Using my God-given talents to lift people up and encourage, I want to realize my life’s motto–‘Doc makes you feel good’.”
