REMEMBER THOSE WHO ARE SINGLE, ELDERLY, HOMELESS OR ALONE FOR ANY REASON. MAYBE YOU CAN TAKE SOMEONE A PLATE OF FOOD, A SLICE OF PIE, OR INVITE SOMEONE TO JOIN YOUR FEAST? MANY OF US USED TO HAVE LARGE FAMILY GATHERINGS, BUT NOW HAVE ONLY A SMALL FAMILY GROUP STILL LIVING. MANY HAVE FAMILY LIVING IN OTHER STATES OR OTHER COUNTRIES. We can BYOB for this dance. PLEASE Note this is a CHANGE IN VENUE LOCATION!!! This October dance only will be at Dancemakers Studio, 6125 SW Loop 820, Ste 140, Fort Worth TX 76132. This is next to Academy in shopping area corner of SW Loop 820 and Bryant Irvin. We were unable to book Swingtime Center for our usual 4th Saturday night, so we moved to Dancemakers this month. Wear your Spooktacular costumes, for more fun. BRING A SHAWL OR JACKET FOR THE AIR CONDITIONED ROOM. When we all start dancing, we get hot, so need it chilled down when we start. Water & Sodas available for purchase.

FREE Silver Foxtrot dance lesson by Bill Black at 7-7:45pm. Come learn something new. Social dancing to follow. We also have waterfall mixers for West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, and Waltz. NOTE: TXDOT will soon start demolishing Anglin St bridge across Loop 820. When they do, we will all take Forrest Hill exit & bridge. You can then proceed down access road, OR go one block south and come down that street to come into the back gate. The back gate is open 6pm before each dance.

WHERE WERE YOU in ’62? Theme attire will be more casual to allow for Grease, American Graffiti, and car hop styles. Let’s see who remembers how to do the The Twist, The Swim, The Pony, The Jerk, The Mashed Potato, and fun rock ‘n roll. There will still be plenty of our favorite country, Latin, Swing, and Ballroom dances. We will have a West Coast Swing mixer again. So much more by our own Debbie B.

HEY EVERYONE!!! APRIL we have Just Jazz Band (sponsored by club member Carol Loney).
BYOB is okay for this event. (Club has to pay about $179 for liquor liability coverage if we have byob, so that is why we don’t have it every month, but we do so when we have a band playing.)
West Coast Swing will be taught April/May/June dances, with different patterns each month.
We will have a Circle Barn Dance Mixer this month, Shuffle, Progressive 2, Two-Step, as well as our variety of Rumba, Cha Cha, Argentine & American Tango, Bolero, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Salsa, Bachata, Meringue, Samba, Waltz, Nightclub Two, and group waterfalls. Get your BOOTS polished and come early for a free Waltz Dance Lesson by Bill Black. He will continue with more patterns and techniques for us. (This is the last month for our Waltz Lesson Series. April/May/June will feature West Coast Swing dance lessons.) Boots with dresses, or boots with jeans are acceptable for this theme.

NEWS NEWS NEWS – thanks to our members and guests, we are having a large enough attendance that we are adding MORE DANCE HOSTS at our monthly dances. We will aim to have 3-5 at each dance for 2024. This obviously depends on the availability of the guys, but we are excited to have several new young dancers being booked to host. A big shout out goes to SUZY ASHMORE for taking this responsibility for 2024 and for her reaching out to lots of other dance venues and rounding up more hosts.
We are sad to announce the loss of another great dancer. LaRay Bray and his wife Vicky joined our Metro Dance Club DFW in 2023.
